Response to Video

The title of the video means that’s we are technically the web 2.0. Basically everything that we do on the web is a direct response to what we instill in computers and technology. The web is just an easier and quicker way of obtaining that information. Web 2.0 can affect someone ready to enter the work force by making work and life more convenient. Resumes can be posted online, interviews can be done over web cams, and jobs can be find through web searching. In addition, Web 2.0 also affects people already in the work force by allowing people to network with a more variety of people from all around the world instantly by emailing or faxing. We may need to rethink everything because at this point and time too many people rely on the web. If something would happen to the web world wide, it would be a total disaster.

I like how you tied in what was in the book about finding a job and using the internet. I didn't even think of that aspect of the internet when it comes to applying for jobs. I also agree with you on the rethinking everything because so many people rely on the internet, yet they know so little about it.

I think it's weird to think "we are the web." But, you're so right. We are. Wikipedia is such a great example of that--an encyclopedia written by its readers! It's mind blowing actually. Youtube is another example. The material there is the results of what youtube users have made and posted. Even these blog posts that we're doing for business writing makes us part of the web.

Those are all good points - you can definitely use the internet to help find available jobs and you can also seek advice from other people have already dealt with trying to procure similar positions. I also liked that you brought up our reliance on the web for so many things - that was something I hadn't really even considered, but you're right!
